The Department of Neurological Surgery and Department of Neurology is seeking a Neuro-Oncologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to join the Department of Neurosurgery's Neuro-Oncology Program. Applicants should be board eligible or certified in Neurosurgery, Neurology, or Medical Oncology with additional subspecialty training in Neuro-Oncology at the time of hire. Applicants' materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.
Applicants would be expected to have a strong interest in clinical research with previous experience in the conduct of phase-1 and phase-2 studies. Additional interests in translational research or correlative science linked to clinical trials would be preferred. The Neuro-Oncology Program emphasizes clinical research in primary glioma, both newly diagnosed and recurrent patients, and is supported by a Brain Tumor SPORE Grant. The clinical Program is also supported by a large number of basic and translational scientists within the Brain Tumor Center, the brain tumor research component of the Department of Neurosurgery. The successful applicant would be expected to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence Series depending on experience and background.
