Neuro Oncology Assistant Professor/Associate Professor
The Neuro-Oncology Program at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking applications from medical oncologists or neurologists with a strong interest in clinical and translational research for a position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level at Harvard Medical School commensurate to academic accomplishment.
The applicant will be expected to become an expert in Neuro-Oncology with an emphasis on brain tumors; develop, participate, and lead clinical and translational research projects; and take an active role in the program’s clinical activities. The applicant will be able to work in an extraordinary environment that fosters collaboration with researchers in neurosurgery, neurology, radiation oncology, neuroradiology, neuropathology, and basic sciences in developing innovative studies. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to become a major participant in a nationally recognized clinical and translational research program.
The position will be based in both the Department of Medical Oncology at DFCI and the Department of Medicine or Neurology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and includes collaboration with other institutions affiliated with the Dana-Farber/ Harvard Cancer Center and the Harvard Medical School. Salary and benefits will be competitive with other institutions. Applicants should have an MD or MD/PhD degree and should be board certified or board eligible in Neurology or Medical Oncology.
