The Cancer and Blood Disorder Program at Children’s Minnesota is seeking a full-time Pediatric Neuro-oncologist to join a well-established and growing practice.
We are currently seeking a candidate with a dedicated interest in neuro-oncology. Our neuro-oncology program sees on average 50 - 65 new patients per year. We have 2 neuro-oncologists, 1 neuro-oncology nurse practitioner and 2 neuro-oncology nurse case managers.
Although the main focus of practice will be pediatric neuro-oncology, responsibilities will also include periodic general oncology care when on service or covering call. Hematology coverage also may be required for weekend call.

Our pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders program is currently composed of over 200 dedicated professionals including 21 physicians and 15 nurse practitioners as well as nurse case managers, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, dieticians, genetic counsellors, social workers, child life experts, interpreters, home care, hospice specialists and research staff. We provide care at two hospital sites in the Twin Cities and as well as in infusion centers in central Minnesota and western Wisconsin
Children’s Minnesota is a teaching hospital to medical students, residents and fellows from the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic. Academic inquiry and research are highly valued, but not required. We have a strong clinical trial program with 2 dedicated neuro-oncology clinical research assistants. We are members of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), Pacific Pediatric Neuro-oncology Consortium (PNOC) and other small clinical research collaborations.

Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
Demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, clinical research and clinical care.
Applicants preferred to be mid-career with several years of neuro-oncology clinical experience, or earlier in their career and have completed a year of Pediatric Neuro-oncology Fellowship.
