Children’s Minnesota is the 10th largest Children’s Hospital in North America. Our pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders program is currently composed of over 200 dedicated professionals including 21 physicians and 15 nurse practitioners as well as nurse case managers, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, dieticians, genetic counsellors, social workers, child life experts, interpreters, home care, hospice specialists and research staff. We provide care at two hospital sites in the Twin Cities and as well as in infusion centers in central Minnesota and western Wisconsin
We are currently seeking a candidate with a dedicated interest in neuro-oncology. Our neuro-oncology program sees on average 50 - 65 new patients per year. We have 2 neuro-oncologists, 1 neuro-oncology nurse practitioner and 2 neuro-oncology nurse case managers.
Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, clinical research and clinical care. Applicants preferred to be mid-career with several years of neuro-oncology clinical experience, or earlier in their career and have completed a year of Pediatric Neuro-oncology Fellowship. Although the main focus of practice will be pediatric neuro-oncology, responsibilities will also include periodic general oncology care when on service or covering call. Hematology coverage also may be required for weekend call.
