The Department of Neurology at University of California, Irvine and the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center seek a fourth, full time faculty member for the comprehensive multi-disciplinary Neuro-Oncology program at UC Irvine Medical Center. Both neurologists with neuro-oncology fellowship training and hematology-oncologists with significant brain tumor experience will be considered. The position involves major clinical responsibilities, but experience and interest in research, particularly clinical trials is also desirable. The successful candidate would join a successful and growing neuro-oncology practice, currently staffed by three fellowship trained neuro-oncologist and five brain and spine tumor neurosurgeons. the Neuro-Oncology Program is part of an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and is strongly supported by the Departments of Neurology, Neurological Surgery and Medicine and the Dean of the School of Medicine. All needed technical and intellectual resources are present in neurology, neurosurgery, and neuro-radiology, in addition to the basic neurosciences.
